Welcome to Moran’s Gastro Bar, a family-run, old-world Irish treasure nestled in the heart of Yeats Country. With its origins dating back to 1840, and its roots as an unlicensed inn for centuries before, Moran’s has been a cornerstone of Ballintogher’s social life for generations. Established in 1926 under the stewardship of James Moran, the bar has lovingly passed through family hands, becoming affectionately known as “Mrs. Jim’s” during the tenure of Mary-Kate Moran. While Moran’s has always been renowned for its warm welcome and storied walls, 2017 marked its evolution into a fine gastro pub. Now managed by Hugh Moran and Family, our establishment has quickly gained a reputation for gourmet excellence.

Our culinary journey began in 2017, offering a delicious blend of an A la carte menu and an exquisite Pizza Menu. We pride ourselves on serving high-quality,
locally-sourced meats and seafood, alongside delectable vegetarian and vegan options. Our pizzas, crafted with Italian Caputo 00 flour and home-grown herb
sauce, are hand-stretched and stone-baked to perfection.
